True to the spirit of early radio experimenters who brought new voices to the air, LIRTVHS has been experimenting with podcasting since 2014 with the Long Island History Project. This podcast started as a collaboration with the Dowling College library and features interviews with people passionate about Long Island history. The conversation ranges from archaeological digs on Shelter Island to stock car racing in Islip.
Some of the highlights, however, focus on Long Island’s radio history. Click on the title to link to each podcast.
