Long Island Home Front ProjectChris Kretz2020-03-05T03:20:50+00:00
The Long Island Home Front is a collaborative oral history project involving LIRTVHS, the Sayville Public Library, and the Sayville Historical Society. We are collecting the stories and lived experiences of people who were living on Long Island during World War II.
These recordings will be archived at the Sayville Public Library. Copies are also deposited with the Starr Center for the Study of the American Experience at Washington College as part of the National Home Front Project.
Select audio and additional stories of World War II-era Long Island appear on the Radio Tower podcast.
